Just Flowers!
My 3-Course Bouquet Discounted for You
If you know anything about me, you know that I love painting flowers. Even in winter, when my hometown of Montreal is slumbering under several feet of snow, I will always find a way to paint them. I’ve never been a flower snob, so an inexpensive supermarket bouquet will do just fine. Over several days, even these humble bouquets fill my imagination with colour and dreams of spring and summer. And when those seasons finally do arrive, I’ll sit by my flowerbeds to sketch, or assemble small bouquets for my studio, or ask a friend whether I can sketch in their garden.
If you love sketching flowers as much as I do, then JUST FLOWERS! My 3-Course Bouquet, will indulge your floral passions. In these three courses, I focus on the fundamentals of flower sketching, both in small vases and in the ground. We’ll cover subjects such as how to treat stems in water, how to mix vibrant colours, including a variety of greens, and how to convey freshness by varying colour, tone and edges. Most important, I’ll show you how I paint wet-in-wet — a technique every flower-loving watercolourist should master.
With these fundamentals in hand, you can learn to paint not just the flowers featured in these courses. You can apply what you’ve learned to just about any flowers, from supermarket bouquets to exotics in botanical gardens, at home and on your travels, even in the depths of a snowy winter.
